More about February speaker - Aleece Germano

Aleece Germano has over ten years of experience in communications and marketing, having worked with creative teams in multidisciplinary roles including project manager, information architect, copywriter, and publicist.

For the past five years, Aleece has worked independently as a private consultant for Fortune 500 companies and Canadian cultural organizations.

In addition to her consulting work, Aleece operates a small film production company which produces documentaries and short films. Her first feature film project, 3 Saisons, for which she is an Associate Producer, will be released this spring.

Her interest in community building and activism recently led her to create two initiatives that have drawn media attention, including a legal campaign for Mile End dépanneur owner Tammey Lau and “Take Off Your Clothes,” a large-scale clothing swap held at the Piknic Electronik.

She holds a BA in French Literature from the University of New Hampshire and has studied and lived in France and Italy. She speaks French, English and Italian as well as some German.

A native of Boston, Aleece has resided in Montreal for six years, and is an active part of the local music, film and fashion culture. Her band, Koo Starck, is expected to embark on a full-length recording project this spring.
