2nd Montreal Girl Geek Dinner is coming up - featuring Angela Byron, who will give a talk on Open Source.
Angie is a web developer, and has been involved in open source since summer of 2005, when she was a Google Summer of Code student. Her project of choice is Drupal, an open source content management system which lets anyone build their own website quickly and easily. She has since made it her life goal to get other people, particularly women, as jazzed about open source as she is.
She works out of her home in NDG (when not on an airplane to somewhere else) as a senior web architect for Lullabot, a Drupal consulting shop, and has helped build websites for companies such as Sony, BBC, and MTV UK. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Drupal Association.
The event takes place January 29th from 6-9pm at Le Commensal - 1720 St-Denis Street
